Laura Sweet - Veterinary Nurse

Laura Sweet

Laura has had a love of animals from a very young age and had a menagerie of different pets growing up, from cats and dogs to ducks and a horse. She started her career at Tamar Vets in 2009, after several years working on farms, and became a qualified veterinary nurse in 2016. Her particular interests are senior canines, epilepsy, and caring for in-patients. Outside of work, Laura has a love of Staffies and horses, but spends most of her time looking after a small human.

Jess Pollard

Jess started working for the practice in July 2018. She has worked for multiple vets in the southwest since starting her career in veterinary nursing in 2008, gaining experience across all aspects of the job with small, large and exotic animals. Jess particularly enjoys nurse clinics and can be found running puppy parties weekly. When Jess isn’t at work, she loves spending time with her two boys and husband. She doesn’t like a quiet life though and is kept busy with a multitude of pets. She has dogs, rabbits, ferrets, sheep, a hamster and a cat and will probably add to this!
