If your pet is not vaccinated, they are at risk of contracting several potentially fatal infectious diseases. In dogs, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis are the most current and widespread threats. Leptospirosis can also present a serious risk to human health as well, as it is zoonotic (spreads from animals to humans). Routine puppy vaccinations also protect against Hepatitis and Canine Distemper. Cats are vaccinated against Feline Leukaemia Virus, Feline Infectious Enteritis and Cat Flu. In addition, if you’re ever considering boarding your pet in kennels or a cattery, or using day care such as a dog walking service, you will likely be required to provide proof of your pet’s vaccinations.
Vaccinations don’t just protect our pets from life-threatening diseases; they also provide us with peace of mind! Vaccinations do this by creating or boosting immunity to specific widespread diseases. Sadly, if your pet is not vaccinated, many of these diseases can prove fatal. If they are fortunate enough to recover, they are often left with long-term complications which not only cause distress but can also be very costly.
Help! My pet is behind on their vaccinations
If your pet is behind on vaccinations, firstly, don’t panic. Life happens. Finances change. Perhaps you have an anxious pet. Appointments get postponed. Suddenly, time passes. That’s exactly why we’re offering a Vaccine Amnesty—to make it easier, stress-free, and judgment-free to vaccinate your pet. What’s most important is that your pet is protected, and you, in turn, gain peace of mind.
Now is the perfect time to restart your pet’s vaccinations if they’ve lapsed. Spring and summer bring increased risk:
- More dogs mixing
- More cats roaming
- Higher exposure to contaminated water
Vaccination protects not just your pet, but the entire local pet community.
What Is a Vaccination Amnesty?
A vaccination amnesty allows pet owners to restart their pets’ lapsed vaccination schedules at a significantly reduced cost. Instead of paying for a full primary course to restart, we are running a special offer designed to bring significantly overdue vaccinations up to date. Visit our special offers page to find out more!
What is our special offer?
- Pay for the first vaccine and get the second FREE
- Available for dogs and cats
- Registered and unregistered pets welcome
This offer is running throughout February & March, so be sure to book your pet in now to take advantage!
